Jessica Rooks runs a thriving Elder Law and Estate Planning firm in rural Northeast Missouri. After receiving a BS in Political Science with honors from Truman State University, she went on to pursue a law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law, graduating in the top 15% of her class. While in law school, Jessica helped shape Missouri Guardianship reform Law. Continuing her lifelong determination to chart her own course, Jessica chose to open a solo small firm after law school and focusing on the specialty areas of Elder Law and Estate Planning with the aim of serving the needs of rural Missouri. Since opening her practice in 2012, Jessica has served as the first circuit Juvenile attorney, has been profiled in Missouri Lawyer’s Media, and was named an Up and Coming young attorney for the Missouri Bar Weekly in 2018, and has held numerous community seminars and information sessions on Estate and Long-Term Care Planning. Outside of her practice, Jessica has worked extensively with local charities, been nominated for the Kirksville Young Professionals Top 5 under 40 award and has served on the board of her local chapters of the Chamber of Commerce, HUD and YMCA.
A Personal Note From Jessica: Outside of my professional pursuits, I am a blessed wife and a lucky mother of two little boys and a sweet little girl. I met my husband, Aaron Rooks, during college, and we both loved the local community so much that we decided to make it our forever home. My two little boys, Ryan and Dylan, are amazing little guys that keep me on our toes. Libby, our little girl, has everyone wrapped around her finger! Our family attends church at Hazel Creek Free Will Baptist. It is very important to us to be an active part of our church family. Finally, during any free time that may exist- we love to garden and enjoy our time outside. Thank you for reaching out to our website, I look forward to getting to meet you.
